老舍

Lao She, was a Chinese novelist and dramatist. He was a writer of 20th-century Chinese literature, known for his novel Rickshaw Boy and the play Teahouse. He was of Manchu ethnicity, and his works are known for their vivid use of the Beijing dialect.


老舍,满洲正红旗人,生于北京,中国现代小说家、戏剧家。代表长篇小说为《骆驼祥子》、《四世同堂》,代表话剧为《龙须沟》、《茶馆》。1966年文化大革命,老舍被押着,在焚毁京剧服装的大火前下跪并遭毒打(“八二三事件”),翌日投湖自尽或被殴杀投湖。
