Memoir of the author and her familys move to Brussels, Belgium after the second world war. Humorous look at a family completely unprepared for their immersion into a foreign country, with small chidren, but no foreign laguage skills.

McKenney is the author of *My Sister Eileen, humorous tales of two sisters who move to New York from Ohio. This book was the source material for the play with the same name and the musical Wonderful Town.
