Originally issued in three parts, part I being published in 1853, part II in 1854 and part III in 1860. These parts were bound in one volume in June, 1877.
The 38 woodcuts, explained by Mr. Ruskin in the work, were also issued by the Arundel society. cf. Wise, T.J., Complete bibliography of the writings ... of John Ruskin.
