The key verses to The Gospel of John are found in this third and last volume of studies in that Gospel:
"And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book: but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name" (ch.20, vv.30,31).
This has been the aim of these studies. They are not intended to be examples of rhetorical accomplishment or literary genius. The ultimate purpose of these volumes has been to present our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, the Living Word, that those who read these pages may believe on Him, and believing, "might have life through His name."
This entire series of studies is offered with a sincere prayer that through the divine truths of God's Word, sinners may be saved and Christians led into a closer walk with the Christ whom John so clearly presents. The Author (from Foreword to Vol III)

Work Description
I have long been aware of the need for a verse-by-verse commentary on The Gospel of John, and the Lord has laid it on my heart to attempt such an exposition. John's Gospel is long and, in many places, quite detailed. Its presentation therefore will require more than one volume and will involve many months of study and dedicated work. Since The Gospel According to John is known as "the salvation Gospel," it should be understood by and made familiar to all who are interested in soul winning. Its message should also be presented with such clarity and power as to make it effective in reaching the hearts of sinners who read it. This I have tried to do in this volume and in those that will follow. The key to John's Gospel is found in chapter 20, verses 30 and 31: "And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name." John presents Christ as the Eternal Word incarnate, very God in flesh, revealing God in the terms of a human life. The details recorded in John's Gospel are sufficient evidence of his personal association with the people and the experiences of which he writes. In fact, he stresses the word "witness," using it frequently to set forth the verified facts of that personal experience. - Foreword of Volume 1.
