Subject: New preface
This third edition includes a preface addressing some criticisms of this title and "Tales of Mean Streets." This title is the first in the trilogy which is followed by "Tales of Mean Streets" and "To London Town." According to the preface of the third edition of "Jago" the three are meant to be read together.
This is an excellent book. An unromantic depiction of London slum life at the end of the nineteenth century.
