Impressed by the character and doctrine of this marvelous work. New insigihts for the average modern Bible student. Thruths which are not welcome in many denominations anymore.....

Subject: Darby's Dispensationalism
Subject: Darby's Dispensationalism
This author is a Darby Dispensationalist--i.e. believes in a secret "rapture" and that Israel is forever to be a separate body from the church, the bride, and the body of Christ, and presents both ideas (rapture and separated Israel) as settled fact. There are numerous problems with this eschatology, and plenty of available old books in the archive on the topic to study the alternative views. I found in my studies that it was a novel doctrine developed by JN Darby in the 19th century and deceptively promoted with an appearance of authority through the Scofield reference Bible. I was surprised at just how weak this doctrine really is after doing some research. It behooves the discerning reader to do the same before accepting the eschatology portion of the book as settled Christian doctrine.
