Edition Notes
Printer's 'Advertisement', and list of 'Errors' on recto of final leaf, and a further 'Advertisement', for 'A Ramble through the Idler's Dictionary ...', on the verso; the DNB speaks of the present and the proposed works as follows: 'Kenrick assailed Johnson's 'Shakespeare' (published October 1725), not without a certain coarse smartness, in 'A Review of Dr. Johnson's new edition ... ' ... A threatened continuation never appeared, nor did a promised castigation of Johnson's 'Dictionary', to be entitled 'ARamble through the Idler's Dictionary ... '; NUC also notes this fact.
