Edition Notes

Holograph, signed.

Oliver Johnson failed to receive a newspaper article and "the Abington proceedings" from Maria Weston Chapman. Johnson says that "newspapers, not sent from the office of publications, are particularly liable to be lost" (in the mail). He was sorry to hear that the John Brown affair had not helped with the collection of funds. He inferred from George B. Cheever's remarks that he was very glad to have been on the same platform with Wendell Phillips and that he will speak before the American Anti-Slavery Society in the spring.
