American art historian and writer Linda Nochlin (née Weinberg) is a leader in feminist art history studies. In 1971, she published the highly influential article, "Why Have There Been no Great Women Artists?" Nochlin has taught at Yale University, the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, Vassar College and now teaches at the Institute of Fine Arts in New York.
