George Jeffrey Tillotson writes to Amos A. Phelps with instructions for "t[he] disposal of a 100 dollars." Tillotson predicts stocks will rise and tells Phelps "if business & prosperity in t[he] country revives, as it is expected it will t[he] ensuing year, stocks will be still higher." He asks Phelps to instruct his stockbroker to buy another share in a Boston bank and expresses his appreciation to Phelps for his "kindness."
