MUNDAS.-The Mundas are a tribe of Northern India, numbering, at the Census of 1911, 574, 434, of whom 410,440 were found in the Province of Bihar and Orissa, 67,252 in Bengal, and 91,298 in Assam, where they have emigrated in search of work on the tea-plantations.
