This little book is a faithful copy of Mary Brown's diary, written in 1862-3 when she sailed as an immigrant from Scotland on board the "Arima" to Port Chalmers Dunedin. She describes life on board - a four month voyage to the other side of the world. It is very readable and gives a day to day description of the conditions. It was indeed an incredible journey.
