Edition Notes
The narrative is dated Navy Island, U.C., 14th January, 1838, and addressed to the editor of the Watertown, N.Y. Jeffersonian. The narrative is annotated by a supporter of the government, Charles Fothergill, who adds, p. 21-23: Appendix, containing further particulars obtained from conversations with John Powell, Esquire, Mayor of the city of Toronto.
