Holograph, signed with initials
Deborah Weston sent this letter to Maria Weston Chapman, and Anne, most probably Anne G. Chapman Dicey. Deborah discusses letters she received and sent. Deborah found Mary [Gray Chapman] "more on her hind leggs than in the morning;" nevertheless, Deborah wonders if Mary's mind is not a little affected. Deborah met Fanny Garrison: "I fancy Fanny is her mother over again--very amiable." [Fanny is a nickname for Helen Francis Garrison Villard.]
