Edition Notes

Holograph, signed with initials.

Deborah Weston writes that there is a violent snowstorm this morning. The letter is mainly concerned with the question of Maria Weston Chapman's leaving Mary Gray Chapman, with whom she is staying on account of Mary's illness. Deborah suggests presenting the case to Dr. Bowditch, telling him that "she wants to have her family small again with the addition of nurse only..." Wendell Phillips should also be told that "she wants me to go, & have few people in the house."
