One of a series of artists' books made by Ediciones Vigía.

Wrappers are stiffened and tinted brown paper. The upper cover includes an overlay of tinted reddish brown and red paper coated with sand, jaggedly cut in half vertically over a collage of whitepaper and coarsely woven buff fabric. Endpapers are photocopied maps of Haiti. The text and illustrations are photocopied on white paper. The title and half-title are enhanced with watercolors. The book is tied shut using red fabric strips to which a large embossed metal bead has been fastened.
