Chiefly holograph; twelve autograph letters signed (11 to Mr. Duneka, Twain's editor at Harper) and one (typescript) to S.L. Clemens from Nelson Hersh, asst. editorial manager of the World, Pulitzer Building, New York, with an autograph note from Twain to Duneka added; letters relate to Twain's writing.
With 5 ports. of Twain (reproductions of 4 photos and 1 drawing) added at front.
All tipped into a red morocco book, in a slipcase; books plate of Frank Hogan and of Roy J. Friedman; most letters stamped on the verso "Harper" with date recieved; no item at leaf 10.
