Janice La Rouche

Janice La Rouche, career counsellor and author of strategies for women at work, believes that success for women in the business world depends on playing the corporate game the way men do.

She became convinced that women must take control of their careers and be completely self-sufficient, by acquiring the crucial attributes of leadership and self-confidence.

Instead of taking the apparent rules literally, she advises women to grasp the principles by which work structures really operate.

(from The Manager's Handbook by Arthur Young, 1986)
