Work Description

Damaris Crocker had no lived her twelve years in smuggling country without knowing when a Run was planned. This night smugglers, or Fair Traders as they were known to the country folk, would bring more than just the usual contraband of brandy and lace. This night they would bring a mysterious wounded, young man and almost enough high adventure, romance and danger into Damaris's life to make her forget the one thing she wished for more than anything else - a flame-coloured taffeta petticoat just like the one the gypsy girl had worn when she danced at the harvest support....almost enough but not quite...

A lovely, flowing tale of smuggling and adventure
