Salesman's dummy. According to p. [100], the cook book was given free to members of the International Institute, Dept. of Domestic Science. In lieu of the usual blank pages found at the end of saleman's dummies for signing up subscribers and recording their payment, there are 8 blank pages for enrolling members in the institute for dues of $2.25 per year.
The full 507-page cook book was published under various titles: The institute cook book, The Winston cook book, The universal cook book, White ribbon cook book; all have subtitle: Planned for a family of four.
